EPIC LIFE WORLD ENGINE — TERMS OF USE

Last updated: 14 September 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

The Epic Life World Engine (the "Engine") is provided by Kickstart David LLC, a Delaware limited liability company trading as Epic Life ("Epic Life", "we", "us"). These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the Engine at worldengine.app, epiclifeworldengine.com and any related site, app, connector or service we provide, including Mentor, the Thrive Index and every process inside the Engine.

By creating an account, entering an access code, starting a membership or using the Engine, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Engine.

2. Who can use the Engine

3. What the Engine is — and what it is not

The Engine is an educational and personal development tool. It guides you through structured processes, conversations and exercises, and helps you create documents such as plans, presentations and stories.

The Engine is not therapy, counselling, psychological or medical treatment, or financial, legal, tax or investment advice. It does not diagnose anything. Mentor is an artificial intelligence, not a person, a clinician or a licensed professional.

4. The Engine is in beta and will change

The Engine is under active development. Processes, features, names, availability and limits (for example, how many images a journey may create) may change, be added or be removed at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect a paid membership.

5. Membership, billing and cancellation

6. What's yours

Your content is yours. Your words, answers, stories, uploaded documents and images, and the personal documents the Engine creates for you from them (such as your business plan, your presentation and its outline, and your story) belong to you, to the extent they are yours to own. You may use them however you wish — subject to section 8, which protects the Engine's methodology.

You give us permission to store, process, copy and display your content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the Engine for you, including sending it to the service providers in section 10.

You are responsible for having the right to anything you upload, and for not uploading anyone else's confidential or personal information without their permission.

7. What's ours

Everything else about the Engine belongs to Epic Life and its licensors, including:

These are protected by copyright, trade secret, trademark and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Engine for your own personal and professional development while your access is active. We do not transfer any ownership to you.

8. Protecting the method

The value of the Engine is in its processes, and they are shared with you in confidence. You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:

  1. copy, record, transcribe, summarise or document the Engine's questions, stages, sequences, prompts, instructions or processes in order to reproduce, teach, sell or share them;
  2. create any manual, course, workbook, worksheet, template, script, prompt, GPT, AI skill, app, software or other product that replicates or imitates the Engine or its processes;
  3. attempt to make the Engine or Mentor reveal its instructions, prompts or internal rules (including by "prompt injection" or by asking it to write them out in any form);
  4. use the Engine, or anything it produces, to train, fine-tune, test or improve any artificial intelligence model or competing product;
  5. reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, crawl or access the Engine by automated means;
  6. share, sell, rent or resell your access, account or access codes;
  7. get around security, access controls, usage limits or payment.

Your own personal documents remain yours to use under section 6, but not as a way of reproducing the Engine's process for others.

If you break this section, we may suspend or end your access immediately and without refund, and we may seek any remedy available to us, including an injunction and damages. This section continues to apply after your access ends.

9. Acceptable use

Use the Engine lawfully and respectfully. Do not use it to create content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes anyone's rights; to impersonate anyone; or to interfere with the Engine or other people's use of it.

10. Your information

We collect and use information to run the Engine, including your name, email address, conversations, answers, documents, Thrive Index results, usage information, and technical information such as your device and browser type. We do not sell your personal information.

To provide the Engine we use trusted service providers who process your information on our behalf, including OpenAI (the AI that runs conversations and creates images), Stripe (payments), Resend (email) and Netlify (hosting and storage). If you use voice input, your browser's own speech service (for example, from Google or Apple) converts your speech to text.

We may use de-identified and aggregated information — information that does not identify you — to measure outcomes across members, research how well our processes work, and improve the Engine.

You can ask us to delete your account and personal information by emailing support@chrishoward.com. We will publish a fuller Privacy Policy; until then, this section describes how we handle your information.

11. Other services and connections

The Engine links to, or works with, services run by others (such as Stripe checkout). If we offer a way to connect the Engine to your own AI assistant or other tools, you choose what to connect and what it can do, and that service's own terms apply to it. We are not responsible for services we do not control.

12. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Engine is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Epic Life will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities, arising from your use of the Engine. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Engine is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.

14. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live (including, for example, the Australian Consumer Law) that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where those laws apply, our liability is limited only to the extent they permit.

15. Indemnity

If you break section 8 or section 9, you agree to cover the reasonable losses, costs and legal fees we incur as a result, to the extent the law allows.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Engine and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Engine. If we stop offering the Engine for reasons other than your breach, we will give you reasonable notice and a pro-rata refund of any unused paid period.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or inside the Engine before it takes effect. If you keep using the Engine after that, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, cancel your membership.

18. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer laws of your country require otherwise. If you have a concern, please email us first — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either of us may take it to the courts that have jurisdiction under these Terms, subject to section 14.

19. General

These Terms, together with any terms shown to you at checkout, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Engine. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to a company that takes over the Engine. If these Terms are translated, the English version governs.
